WHAT DOES THE COURSE TEACH?

Throughout this program, you will gain knowledge across a wide scope, from the technical aspects of information security to governance and compliance processes. You will begin with topics that strengthen your technical foundation, such as network fundamentals, operating systems, security devices, and protocols. Then, by learning about threats and defense methods such as malware, social engineering attacks, IDS/IPS, and EDR, you will acquire effective skills to combat cyber threats. You will also work hands-on with compliance processes based on standards such as ISO 27001 ISMS, ISO 27005 risk management, and ISO 22301 business continuity. By the end of the training, you will consolidate all your knowledge through a real project and build a portfolio that you can directly apply in the professional world.

IT Fundamentals & Networking Basics

This module introduces participants to computer hardware, operating systems (Windows & Linux), file systems, user management, and essential networking concepts. It covers OSI/TCP-IP models, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, VLANs, VPN basics, wireless networks, and core server services (DNS, DHCP, Web, Mail). Participants also learn about firewalls, NAT, and secure versions of common protocols. The goal is to build a solid technical foundation for cybersecurity. Key Topics:

Security Fundamentals

This module focuses on core information security principles, threats, and attack techniques. It introduces the CIA triad, threats–vulnerabilities–risks, and types of malware (viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, spyware). Participants study social engineering and phishing attacks, insider threats, and supply chain risks. Security devices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, proxy) and endpoint protection solutions (EDR, XDR, DLP, MDM) are also covered. Key Topics:

Information Security & Compliance Standards

This module covers Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) based on ISO 27001, as well as BSI IT-Grundschutz, TISAX, NIS2/KRITIS regulations, ISO 27005 Risk Management, and ISO 22301 Business Continuity. Students learn to define scopes, conduct risk assessments, develop policies, implement controls, and perform business continuity and crisis management planning. Internal audits, certifications, and governance frameworks are emphasized.

In addition to the Weiterbildung certificate approved by the German education system, trainees will have the opportunity to obtain the IT-Security-Beauftragter (TÜV) and ISMS Auditor/Lead Auditor nach ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (IRCA) certificates offered by TÜVRheinland, the Comptia Security+ certificate and the Risk Management and Business Continuity Management certificates within the euroTech Study. These certifications offer participants the opportunity to prove their competence in their fields and to stand out in their careers.
